Greetings to Speakers and Presidents of Senates around the world,
As Chair of the International Speaker Conference (ISC), it is a privilege to extend my warmest regards to parliamentary leaders across the globe.
In recent months, I have had the honor of representing the ISC in Morocco, Russia, Italy, UAE & Turkmenistan — where my engagements with fellow Speakers have been deeply insightful and reaffirm our shared responsibility to uphold peace and cooperation in today’s interconnected world.
The ISC stands as a platform for meaningful parliamentary dialogue — fostering understanding, mutual respect, and collective action.
We believe that through sustained inter-parliamentary collaboration, we can contribute to building a more peaceful, resilient, and inclusive global community.
The ISC is focused on key areas including:

On behalf of the ISC, I reaffirm our unwavering commitment to advancing parliamentary diplomacy as a tool for fostering mutual understanding, trust, and cooperation among nations. The Inaugural Assembly, held in April 2025 in Seoul under the theme "Building Global Unity: Strengthening Peace and Shared Prosperity Through Inter-Parliamentary Dialogue," was a landmark moment.
It demonstrated the pressing need for a platform like the ISC—one that unites legislative leaders in a spirit of solidarity and shared responsibility. The enthusiastic participation from parliamentary leaders around the world underscored the strong global support for our mission.In a time of increasing complexity and interconnected challenges, the power of soft diplomacy must be elevated and empowered. That is why the ISC will work in partnership with distinguished organizations such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and United Nations agencies to enhance regional cooperation, cultivate dialogue, and advance the global democratic agenda.
As Secretary General, I pledge that the ISC will remain steadfast in its mission to uphold the principles of interdependence, mutual prosperity, and universally shared values. We are committed to creating an inclusive platform where every member state—large or small—has a valued voice, and where ideas are heard, respected, and translated into meaningful action. To all Speakers and Presidents of legislative chambers: your leadership is more crucial than ever.
You stand at the forefront of addressing global challenges—be it climate change, population crises, public health crises, technological disruption, or social inequality. Through collaborative parliamentary dialogue, we can forge innovative solutions and ensure a sustainable, peaceful, and prosperous future for all. We look forward to your continued engagement and active participation in the vital work ahead. Together, through the ISC, we can shape a world anchored in dialogue, cooperation, and shared progress.
