ISC Secretary General, Dhakal met Pope Leo XIV

Ek Nath Dhakal, Member of the House of Representatives of Nepal, greeted Pope

Leo XIV, Sovereign of Vatican City State, on Saturday at a special audience given by the Vatican to the visiting international leaders at the Hall of Benediction.

Lawmaker Dhakal exchanged a few words with the Holy Father. The Pope’s

audience was attended by the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, IPU President

and Secretary General Tulia Ackson and Martin Chungong, international

parliamentarians, and faith leaders.

Dhakal was representing the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC) as its Secretary General. Earlier Dhakal attended and spoke at the IPU’s Parliamentary

Conference on Interfaith Dialogue at the Italian Parliament.
